An early morning Davao city view 2.
This is a typical sight at the Magsaysay park in the early morning sunrise. The park is popular for all kinds of morning exercises.
Davao from the air
Davao City is a amazing sight from the air. I always take my time to see the city and the provinces in all angles and times of the day. This is whenever I am on the air. For years, I always have this chance as I travel around Dole plantations in Mindanao. It is just great to see Davao againts Mt. Apo, the Davao Bangkerohan River,Samal Island, and the majestic Mt. Apo. Philippines' tallest volcanoe.

Heart of the City
We can see the Marco Polo Hotel in the center. Ateneo University is just in front of it. Down below the Fatima Church is recognizabble. T he hill on the horizon is Ma-a.
The Airport
This is now undergoing expansion activities. In three years time, Davao will have the biggest airport International Airport in Mindanao.
The City Hall
This is where the City Mayor is holding office. In front is the Quezon Park.
Fatima Church
This is one of the city Parishes. I remember Father Lahaye, PME. He was once our Seminary Rector in the late sixties. When he was tranferred from the Seminary, he became the parish priest of Fatima, and became one of the pioneer missionaries to develop Fatima.
San Pedro Cathedral Offices
This used to be the main building and auditorium of the former Immaculate Conception College (ICC).This is now a university, and the buildings and campuses found new locations in the city. But the early alumnae of the college would remeber their youth adventures in this building near the Church and the Capitol. There used to be a lot of huge acacia tress around to shade the children. The University is run by the RVM Sisters, and is one of the best universities in the city
Sanggunihan Building
This is where the city councilors deliberate the laws of the city. The building was inaugurated in 1998, and is one of the main landmarks of the city.
San Pedro Street
I took this picture with the Cathedral on the background..It is along San Pedro street.
Santa Ana Church
This was the last parish given to the Diocese. The PME Fathers developed this church and hold onto it in the last years of handing over the control of the whole parishes to the Filipino diocesan priests.
